Google Chromecast - Future of TV?

Google today announced the launch of Chromecast, a small dongle which connects to the HDMI port of your TV. One can broadcast content from any mobile device to the Television using Chromecast. The product is available for $35 from Amazon with 3 months of Netflix included.

The dongle needs to be connected to a HDTV and then connected to your Wifi router. You can then send videos and more from your smart phone :Android, IOS, Windows, Tablet or Laptop to your TV with the press of a button.

An 18 year old High school student, Eesha Khare, from California invents a Super capacitor that can charge your phone in 20 seconds. Khare won USD 50,000 at the Intel Science fair for inventing this device.

A phone for Kids

OWNFONE, a UK based company has launched a phone for kids. The phone has very basic features with upto 12 names that can be stored in the phones memory. This is to enable kids to dial their parents in case of an emergency.

I want to buy a new phone! I have a Sony Xperia Mini Android phone and decided that it’s time to buy a new phone. I made a list of phones that I would like to choose from and Sony being my favorite, Xperia Z is at the top of my list. The other phone that I considered was Blackberry Z10 and the Lumia series of Windows phones. I simply loved the interface of Windows phones and there were just 2 things that I liked about the phone; MS Office and XBOX. I am not a gamer so XBOX doesn't excite me, but MS Office was tempting.
